Fashion Week - Badgley Mischka

Just when you think it can't get better... BAM! Another runway show comes along and is so beautiful, so gorgeous, so... tear inducing. I'm not going to lie, I streamed the Badgley Mischka show while I was at work, and I got to sneak a few peeks during the show. And some of the designs brought tears to my eyes. Hilary Moss at the Huffington Post summed up everything I feel about this show. God, I love this designer (maybe you remember the shoes I'm currently coveting?)!

More Fashion Week - Tommy Hilfiger

If I had to describe my style, it would be classic, all-American, girl-next-door. So it's no wonder that I am head over heels in love with Tommy Hilfiger's s/s 2011 runway show. The show had me dreaming about weekends in Newport and long, lazy summer afternoons on the beach. Tommy's show got rave reviews, and it's clear to see why. Below are some of the great designs I've got my eye on from Mr. Hilfiger. Aren't they lovely?

 

 

Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2011

I've talked about Rebecca Minkoff's foray into shoes that will be available in spring 2011, so I just had to share some photos from her Fashion Week runway show. The shoes I'm coveting were front and center, and seeing those babies up close makes me want them even more! I can just think of all the great things to wear them with (like all the Max Azria dresses I want.)

My sexy shoes being modeled with a pair of black shorts and cream top. With shoes that dynamite, the rest of the outfit can be low key.

I'm also loving these nude and sparkly pumps - so perfect for a date night.

BCBG Max Azria Spring Show

Fashion Week is fast underway and I've got to say I love, love, LOVE what came out of BCBG Max Azria's set. Fashion Week is always hard for me because it's where designers showcase their concept designs (90% of which will never make a retail store) and like art, it's subjective (and sometimes I really hate what comes down the runway. 

But, with Max Azria, that's not the case. Nearly all of the designs spotted were not only drool worthy, but ready-to-wear. Here are the dresses I'm coveting for fall (many of which would look awesome with those Rebecca Minkoff shoes I'm coveting too.

Hootie Hoo

Growing up I remember my grandmother loved and collected owl-themed items. So I know why I feel like I just can't get owls off my brain. Here are some owl items that I think will soon be part of my collection.

New Commute

I've got a new commute. It comes with the new job. There are a few reasons I love my new commute. It's a reverse commute. Hello 10-minute drive to work! Goodbye 45-minute drive in crazy Boston traffic which is more like a real-life version of Frogger.

But I have to say the best thing about my new commute is that I get to ride with this handsome mug a few days each week. Seriously, life couldn't get much better right now.

P.S. Don't you love Frogger? It's such a fun game!
P.P.S. I'm not driving to work with him today though. It's Labor Day, so enjoy your day off from labor (I know I am!)

Spotted and Stalking

How fab are these Badgley Mischka d'Orsay pumps? Spotted in Nordstrom last night and so hard not to take home with me. Not to worry, they'll be mine soon enough.P.S. I've got to confess they give my dream wedding shoe a run for its money.
